5 weeks

We are really starting to see Josiah's personality and, between John and me, we had it coming to us! We both were very "active" little kids, and there's no doubt our little man is going to be the same way. Most people say things to us like, "Isn't it nice? Newborns sleep all day long." Our little papoosi usually stays awake for 1 1/2 at a time, and has been doing that since he was 3 weeks old. He is now sleeping 3-4 hours a night, and only fusses when he needs something. He's a very happy baby, smiling and cooing at us, especially when he has a full belly. This week he is loving his play mat, batting his hands at the colorful animals. Although it's probably just a coincidence when he hits one with his hand, John says he is already having batting practice and that is why he's so coordinated.:)
