So, it's been a while since I've posted. Thanksgiving came and went, and we had a really nice time with some of our friends at our house this year. It was the full first turkey experience that so many of you know well, but everything turned out great. After Thanksgiving, John took command position of a company in his battalion on post. This is a big deal!!! It is a huge honor for John, and it brings on MUCH more responsibility for him. He is such a wonderful leader and so excited about the possibilities to improve the company and to invest in the soldiers' lives. It also brings a new responsibility (some would say a full time job) to lead the company FRG, Family Readiness Group. I spent last Saturday at an all day training for it, and it basically entails being the go-to person for resources and event planning, and in the case of deployment, disseminating information to family members. I am so proud of John, as he was hand-selected for the job, to take this company commander's position.
Josiah is in full-crawl mode, as John calls it. I was in denial until I saw him shimmy, scoot, pull ( I won't say crawl!) all the way across the room to my crochet bin. It's true, they grow up so fast. He is already pulling himself up, trying to let go, and stand on his own. Time to bump up the prayer and babyproof the house on hands and knees! Hope you enjoy these pictures.
