An Enchanting Visit

John's sister, Sarah, and her husband, Jason came to visit for their spring break.  We worked during the day while they self-toured some of NC's finest attractions, and at nighttime played a lot of "American Idol" on XBox 360.  On the weekend, we went to Wilmington, NC.  The historic city is home to USS North Carolina Battleship, enchanting Old Wilmington, Ft. Fisher, and the Orton Plantations, among many others.  If the Orton Plantation photos look familiar, it is the chapel where Mandy Moore got married in "A Walk to Remember."  It was absolutely breathtaking and, by far, one of the most beautiful places I have ever been to.

John and I also celebrated our one year anniversary on Easter Sunday, April 12th.  We had a great visit with Jason and Sarah.  Thanks for coming, guys!  We hope you had a fun and relaxing time!

John and I are headed to Charleston, SC for our anniversary getaway this weekend.  More pics to come!

does anyone know flower this is??
The Plantation House, used as a hospital by federal troops during the civil war.  It was spared, making it the last of 35 plantations along the Cape Fear River...a lot of history here!
It was amazing.  The grounds were so well kept and no expense spared.  We saw 6 alligators in the lakes here!!  Who knew there were alligators in NC? (Not me.)
