Where did the week go?
I bought a new Halloween coloring book. Who doesn't love to color?
We re-arranged our living room and I bought some sweet new lamps...you likey?
John had a live-fire mission where he was gunning down targets (fake ones, I might add) while his truck driver drove on.
John also had black hawk and chinook helicopter jumps this week. Tomorrow he will jump again out of a German C1-60 and earn his foreign wings. For those of you who don't know, that's a big deal.
We had a ball. Literally, we attended an Army Ball with John's whole battalion (500 people or so).
This is a good friend of ours, Amanda. She's Louis' wife, a fellow Lieutenant with whom John works.
4 soldiers retire the colors after the formal part of the ball. After this, it was all about drinking and dancing. That's not really our scene, so we busted out of there but had a great time with our table laughing and telling stories.

Looks like you two are doing great! I think that would be SO much fun to go to a BALL! I don't know the last time I got really dressed up...ha...my wedding! I bet you're excited to see baby Layla! Are you coming home for thanksgiving?
Hi Aunt Kristin. You look really pretty, and I miss you. I want you to come home so I can play with you because you like to play with me and talk to me and everything. Lily loves Kristin and loves to play with Kristin and likes Kristin. I am in preschool and I like it but sometimes I just get frustrated. I'm learning how to make halloween stuff and I can spell my name...Lilly. Jack is starting to talk. He says dada, lala (lilly), mommy, dog, tractor. He brushes his teeth really fast.:)
